About ConvertOrino
A free set of file converters that run entirely in your browser.
What it is
ConvertOrino converts and compresses the files people deal with every day: iPhone photos in HEIC, images in JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF, PDF documents and audio files. There are 50 tools, each on its own page, all free and without sign up.
How it works
Every conversion runs in your browser on your own device. When you open a tool, your browser downloads the code for that tool once. When you add a file, the code reads it from your device, converts it in memory and offers the result as a download. The files never travel over the internet.
Images are decoded and encoded with the graphics engine built into your browser. HEIC photos are decoded with libheif, PDFs are read with PDF.js and written with pdf-lib, MP3 files are encoded with LAME, PNG files are optimized with UPNG, TIFF files are read with UTIF, Photoshop files with ag-psd, and images are traced into SVG vectors with ImageTracer. Photo metadata is removed with ConvertOrino's own code, which edits the file structure directly so the image itself is not touched. All of these libraries are served from this site, not from third party servers.
