How does ConvertOrino convert files without uploading them?

Modern browsers can decode and encode images, documents and audio themselves. ConvertOrino sends your browser the conversion code, and your device does the work. The files you choose are read directly from your device into the page and saved back as downloads.

How can I check that my files are not uploaded?

Load a converter, then turn off your internet connection and convert a file. It still works. You can also open the developer tools in your browser and watch the network tab while converting: no file is sent.

Is ConvertOrino free?

Does ConvertOrino remove the location from my photos?

Yes. Converted images have their hidden metadata, including GPS location, removed by default. There is also a dedicated Remove photo metadata tool that cleans JPG, PNG and WebP files without changing the image at all.
