Add your photos
Drop CR3 files into the box above, or press Choose files. You can add as many as you like.
Wait while they develop
Each RAW photo is developed on your device with the white balance your camera recorded. This takes a few seconds per photo, a little longer on phones.
Download
Save each file on its own, or download everything at once as a ZIP file.
Why
Why convert CR3 to JPG?
CR3 is Canon's current RAW format, and many programs, older versions of Photoshop, Windows and phones still cannot open it. Converting gives you a JPG that works everywhere, straight from the camera file.

About the formats
What is CR3?
CR3 is the RAW format Canon introduced in 2018 with the EOS M50 and uses in every new camera since, including the EOS R series. It is built on the same ISO container as MP4 and HEIC. The optional C RAW mode makes files about 40 percent smaller with very little visible loss.
What is JPG?
JPG (also written JPEG) has been the standard format for photos since 1992. It uses lossy compression, which keeps files small by discarding detail the eye barely notices. It cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become a solid color.
Questions
Questions and answers
Is it safe to convert my files here?
Yes. ConvertOrino converts your files with code that runs in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nobody else can see your files, and they are gone as soon as you close the page.
Which Canon cameras save CR3 files?
Every Canon camera since 2018, including the EOS R series (R5, R6, R8, R10 and R50), the EOS M50 and M6 Mark II, and DSLRs such as the 90D, 250D and 850D.
Does it work with C RAW files?
Yes. C RAW is Canon's compact version of CR3, with a smaller file size. Both regular and C RAW files are supported.
Why will my CR3 not open in Photoshop or Windows?
CR3 needs a recent version of Adobe Camera Raw, and Windows needs the Raw Image Extension from the Microsoft Store. Converting to JPG here avoids both, without installing anything.
Will the JPG look like the photo on my camera screen?
Very close, but not always identical. The camera screen shows a JPG made with the camera's own picture style. ConvertOrino develops the sensor data with LibRaw, using the white balance the camera recorded, so contrast and colors can differ slightly.
Why does each photo take a few seconds?
A RAW file holds unprocessed sensor data. Turning it into a picture means working out the full color of every pixel, applying white balance and converting the colors, and your own device does all of that. A 24 megapixel photo usually takes a few seconds on a computer and longer on a phone.
Can I adjust exposure or white balance?
Not here. This tool develops photos the way the camera recorded them, which is what most people need for sharing. For detailed editing use a raw editor such as Lightroom, Capture One, darktable or RawTherapee.
Is the CR3 to JPG tool free?
Yes, completely free. There is no sign up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.
Is there a file size limit?
There is no fixed limit, because your own device does the work. Very large files are limited by the memory of your device. Phones handle files of a few hundred megabytes, computers handle much more.
Does it work on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows?
Yes. It works in any modern browser, including Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing needs to be installed.
Is hidden metadata such as location removed?
Yes, by default. Location, camera details and other EXIF data are removed from every converted image. For JPG output you can untick Remove metadata to keep the date taken and camera details instead.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, the conversion works without an internet connection, which also proves that your files are not sent anywhere.
