EPUB is the open standard for ebooks. The text reflows to fit any screen and the reader can change the font size. An EPUB is a ZIP file of web pages, pictures and a table of contents. Books bought with DRM copy protection are locked and cannot be converted.

PDF was created by Adobe in 1993 and is now an open ISO standard. A PDF looks the same on every screen and printer, which makes it the standard for documents, forms, receipts and scanned papers.
