What is MKV?
MKV (Matroska) is an open container that can hold video, several audio tracks and subtitles in one file. The audio is often AAC, AC3, DTS, Opus or FLAC. ConvertOrino extracts the main audio track and mixes surround sound down to stereo.
What is MP3?
MP3 is the most widely supported audio format in the world. It uses lossy compression to make files roughly a tenth the size of uncompressed audio. At 192 kbps or higher most listeners cannot tell it apart from the original.
