About the formats

What is JPG?

JPG (also written JPEG) has been the standard format for photos since 1992. It uses lossy compression, which keeps files small by discarding detail the eye barely notices. It cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become a solid color.

What is PDF?

PDF was created by Adobe in 1993 and is now an open ISO standard. A PDF looks the same on every screen and printer, which makes it the standard for documents, forms, receipts and scanned papers.

Questions

Questions and answers

Is it safe to convert my files here?

Yes. ConvertOrino converts your files with code that runs in your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to a server, nobody else can see your files, and they are gone as soon as you close the page.

How do I turn iPhone photos of documents into a PDF?

Open this page in Safari on your iPhone, press Choose files, pick Photo Library and select the photos in page order. Press Create PDF and save the file to Files or share it straight away.

Can I put several images in one PDF?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, put them in the order you want, and they become one PDF with one image per page. You can also choose to make a separate PDF for each image.

Can I use PNG or HEIC images too?

Yes. This tool accepts JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF and PSD and mixes them freely in one PDF.

Is the JPG to PDF tool free?

Yes, completely free. There is no sign up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files.

Is there a file size limit?

There is no fixed limit, because your own device does the work. Very large files are limited by the memory of your device. Phones handle files of a few hundred megabytes, computers handle much more.

Does it work on iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows?

Yes. It works in any modern browser, including Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox, on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing needs to be installed.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded, the conversion works without an internet connection, which also proves that your files are not sent anywhere.
